Well Wayne you said grab the bull by the horns so i did here,s the progress on the great white bird concorde as you can see she is coming on but not without a crap load of filling i still have to do the gaps in the nose section and also the U/C but boy this thing is big.BBView attachment 147685

Well, I've had a hectic month or so in 1:1 scale, including a change to night shift, which I am almost over So I'm back to work on the models, here's my Hobbyboss P-51D now sporting Costa Rican markings and requiring only gear, prop and canopy to finish the job:

Once this is out of the way I will get back to work on the P-47D 8)

Before you buy the concorde trebor you should know that it will take a lot of patients because of the filling and sanding involved but i agree it is a damn sexy aircraft more pics to follow soon.BB

These card models are nice if you don't have to paint any of parts.But if you need to do it all drawn details disappear. Here is a floor of one of B-24 turrets ... I think that the one with my correction looks better.

Do you believe? The author of the card set , has forgotten about the floor in the front turret ( part 1h6). I have used the spare part for the tail turret and made a new one with corrections.

Nice work my friend. Was there actually a floor in the front turret? I have some pics showing a 'conical' shape of front turret 'basket', which appears to possibly be open at the bottom, and I think the gunner's feet were supported by 'stirrups'. Not sure about this 100% though, but if you need any pics of this, or the rest of the interior, let me know.

Nice! Do you know where you got the decals for it? I really want to make that p-51 as well as the P-47N that shot it down.

Here a couple of pics with front parts of engine cowlings. These were very characteristic for B-24s. The first step was to remove the cardboard from areas where there were holes ( pic2). Then I put all pieces together (pic3).The finished part doesn't look good , am I right? These white areas at the bottom of the assembled part are caused by corrections I have had to make to the length of each strip. That's why the next step was to soak the part with Superglue , then sanding and painting of the whole part (pic4). In the last shot you can compare effects. Looking much better isn't it?
