After getting a few more models due to a sale yesterday, I did a count and discovered to my horror that I have eleven unfinished kits laying around! A Bf 109, Hs 129, Tornado and Ju 88 among the main ones.
I copied that stand from something I saw in a magazine once, quite handy
I misplaced some of the Sabre bits as I got frustrated with the kit years ago, then I thought I'd have another go and I had to look high and low for the canopy base and a couple of other things, think I have found all of it now
I've finally pulled all of the tape off AF1 after masking it again and applying a coat of light gray to some areas of the fuselage and the bottom of the wings. all's I gotta do is apply a coat of future floor wax to it and she'll be ready for decals...I just gotta get a new bottle for my airbrush.
what do you think about applying some WD-40 lube to the propeller rods on the DC-6 to make them rotate easier. will that harm the plastic or the paint?
A very light application might be OK Rob, but check it on some painted scrap first. If it reacts, then a small dab of butter or vegetable based 'spread', such as margarine, will do the trick.
