I love enamel. i ain't switchin to nothin' else. xP

I was talking about myself, I bought enamel by accident but I rebought the colors in vallejo. Testors really turned me far from it, also water is more accessible and cleaner to my head then thinner.. :D

Never had a problem, by the time I get to decals I have a lacquer gloss cote on to remove silvering so the acrylic is protected..

and then do you do a layer of dullcote? I do that.

EDIT: btw, those colors I bought were schwartzgrun and dunkelgrun

and makes it look like the decals were painted on instead of decals

Primer covered it well. An update on the 1:72 and proof Italeri lacks brain cells.:D

That a boy, check all the corners and tuck it in with a nail filer or something with a tip. Pencil, putty applicator, pipette, etc etc.. Should be fine when you go to spray it up. :D

Watch out for loose hanging threads, they will ruin your paint job or even fall off and get stuck under the paint job like hans solo did in the carbon freeze in star wars.

I shall do that! thanks a lot, bud! I've already tucked it well in with my hobbyknife (it has a new blade in it, so nothing caught)

did I mention ot anyone that this bird is going in the group build? :D

Nice work guys.

Where does Italeri lack brain cells? Surely wouldn't it be more pointless to print another set of instructions just to chance the prefix of P to F?

How do you make that mistake though, like your an official company and your box says F for fighter and you put P. Even though the RAF is a P. Yes it would be pointless, but if you never made the mistake it would be ace!

I also spent much time filling and sanding this little fighter, guess the rumors are true.. :|

Agree with all. And yes, the instructions are there, for the correct kit of the correct type. The 'F' designation was only for the USAAF, and the original Manufacturer's number, P51D, remained in use with all other users at the time. To make new artwork, film separations, printing plates etc, just for one letter, would be senseless. In effect, Italeri are quite correct, marking the box as a F51, and the instructions remaining as P51, as that is what it is. It may well be that the 'history notes' at the head of the instructions explain the change of designation after WW2, and will most certainly give the basuc history/specification anyway. The fact that the box is printed with a picture, and the title of a F51D makes it very clear that the contents represent this type, and not a WW2 P51. Anyone who wished to model a WW2 aircraft from this kit would only need to use the relevant decals.
