Great work above.

Interesting unusual subject Mike, nice paint work on the camo scheme. The detailing on the open engine bays look good too, all in all a nice looking model.

Badbear, your USS Arizona looks great too; must look awesome in the flesh at 1:200, and should even better when complete. Nice paint work on all the detailing. Great looking ship and a good memorial to the events of that fateful day. It inspires me as I'm about to start my USS Missouri (which will be a memorial of the other end of the war).

Crimea - the directions give two versions: the cammo version which they call Ho 229A-1 Berlin 1945. The colors called for are Dark Green so I used RLM 82 Dunkel Grun and olive drab which (to me) is pretty close to RLM 81 (brown-violet) but actual USAF olivedrab gave a better contrast so that's what I used.
The second version they called Ho 229A-0 Friedrichsrode 1945 (that's where Gotha's factory was located) that one had no cammo and was to be painted dark green.

well, still nothing new to report on Air Force One, but I'm thinking about starting on my Pan American Airways DC-6. what do you guys think?

meh, I decided to hell with it and started on the DC-6. I've assembled the fuselage and sealed it, but that's it for now.

Well here is whats next on the bench Curtiss sbc-4 helldiver

I've attached the wings to the fuselage and sealed it up. I then suspended the plane and put some weight on it to set the dihedral. I also painted the engines using a photo ref of a real 2800 Double Wasp. aren't there any scale models of aircraft engines? I'm dying to do a 2800 Double WAsp.

omg! I finally applied silver paint to my Air Force One! it's a beautiful, clear day. no winds, comfortable temperature, I seized the opportunity. I've still got a little bit of painting left to do to AF1, but I'm happy that I finally reached another step in the development of this model! thanks, God, for the beautiful weather!

Here's my 1/48 F/A-18F. Unfortunately the subtle paint work is lost with the flash, but it's overcast outside so the house is fairly dark. Hopefully once I'm done the final ones turn out better.

I built that one a few years ago Tim. It's a nice little model, but the landing gear is extremely fragile and it broke before long just sitting on the shelf.

primer was applied to the DC-6. the silver paint on AF1 is still not cured yet...found that out the hard way on the leading edges of the wings and tailplanes. I've also applied flat white to the DC-6. the hard part is gonna be masking off the top and doing a curve right at the nose.

ok here's where i've got to on my P-38.
kit is a minicraft 1/48 scale P-38J and is brush painted useing Humbrol enamel no11 and Vallejo acrylic yellow.
still have to do the rudder trim tabs in yellow as i overpainted them in silver as i wasn't happy with how they looked and same with the gun ports and the yellow nose.
