What's on The Workbench (13 Viewers)

Unfortunately I have little time to keep a full-on build report going ATM. What little spare time I have I like to spend on building rather then writing, so I'll go with posting a few WIP pics every now and then

I recently got me an Italeri 1/72 DC-3 kit, and started work on it (hope to turn it into a Dutch C-47). Next to nothing can be seen of the interior, so I didn't really do all that much work on that. This seems to be a rather old boxing of this not all too young kit to begin with. It took a little brute force to get the fuselage halves together since they were a little warped, but it came out alright sofar. Other then that the fit seems to be quite decent for the wings etc. The fuselage will need a little cleaning up and some silling/sanding here and there, but nothing too dramatic me thinks. With the fuselage out of the way I think I've got the most difficult part of the build out of the way.

The white plastic is horrible to work with though. The color makes it difficult to see irregularities and such that need cleaning up and is quite difficult to get good coverage with paint without white shining through

very nice, man

in regards to the interior, I wouldn't be doing the cabin, but I'd be going NUTS on the cockpit. hehe

pfft, I don't care. I'll go nuts on the cockpit and then take a bunch of pics before I put the whole thing together. otherwise what's the point of having a 1/72 airliner cockpit if you can't go into detail?

All that can be seen in the cockpit is the tops of the seats and the bulkhead door Rob

True, and you have to look really really hard. Either way....it's too late for details on the inside now ;) ...best focus on the exterior I fear
