Just thought I'd see what we know about this gentleman, Rudolf Freiherr von Moreau.

He was commander of K/88 in the Spanish civil war. He also led the first combat mission of the Germans in Spain, the bombing of the republican cruise Jaime I with 2 Ju52's on august 13th 1936.

Moreau was Member of the "Legion Condor" and took part at the attack of Guernica...
He also wrote a book "Zwischen Himmel und Erde" in 1939.
He died at March 31 1939 in cause of crash with the Ju 88 V9 (D-ADCN)
He and the rest of the crew bailed out, but his parachute didn´t open.
His examination after hitting the grond shows he received a hit on his head (maye from the tail fin of the plane)
