Looks like a match Dave. I'm more used to seeing its bigger cousin. They like to come at you from behind and it feels like a 737 when they hit you

Yep, have them here too (the bigger cousin) - and I just had one dive-bomb me yesterday evening.
Aparently, my zig-zagging proved effective as no hit was delivered!

I've never been hit by a 737 so I have no reference to guide me. I have seen some very large bugs in south Louisiana. There have been reports of frogs tongues on mosquitos (not the planes) allowing the frog to be carried away by the mosquito (not the planes). Frogs and mosquitos (the planes) may be a nationality thing, though.

Hopefully not a Max 8.

I've been hit by a Buick.

I didn't like it at all.

The classic battle; bird vs one of my fishing partners

Female Purple Finch, methinks. Just put up this crow proof feeder and it seems to work. Had an American Finch in this morning but it had ignited the JATO bottles and was gone before I could get the camera

Birds, politicians, and rich people are exempt.

Tree boi came back finally and was eating bird seed. I started to pelt him with peanuts after these shots; he grabbed one and took off.....
