Appreciate it guys!

next step in the wing process was to review the underwing wing light requirement on the outer wing position...did some checking and it is so on the Mk.VIII so the holes were carefully drilled out and filed to ensure the internal section fitted correctly and also the clear glass lenses, which will be popped in much later.
Also prepped the rear radiator cover flaps, wanted them open but had some ejector pin marks to eradicate first....probably won't be visible but dealt with them anyway...

Me too. Gotta look into those underwing lights on my VIII as well. ICM did not account for them.

Good stuff. And those lamps again - in all the years I've 'been around' Spits, and modelled them and painted them, I've mostly missed these lamps in my 'studies' - until mentioned in Karl's MkXII thread. B*gg*er !
Looked into this a bit more, and it seems the fittings were there, but often blanked off or painted over, depending on requirements presumably. A case of checking refs for the particular subject in future, and it seems you can teach an old dog new tricks!

Next step, attached the flaps to the main Radiator Covers, painted the radiators themselves, fitted them and attached the Covers.....
