I am starting a JU-87D in 1/48 scale.

The cockpit is not very detailed, but when I am done it should look a lot better.

I plan on doing it in a winter camouflage. The one where it looks like:

I have detailed the cockpit and installed it so far.

Got the wings together. Had to build the landing light housing as it was just an open hole. Drilled out the gun barrels, detailed the twin barrel guns for the gunner, and painted the prop. Letting some putty dry before shaping then ready for initial base coat of paint.

Looking good. But I'm sure you know that the green colour wasn't applied on the white painted plane but the white was applied on the two-tone green camo.

From the few books I have read, some of the late war winter camo was white applied over RLM 71 or RLM 74. I chose white over RLM 74. The RLM 74 was applied first then the white was applied over it. Not sure why you think the I painted white first.
