The Martlet that I am modelling is Martlet IV FN142.

Pilot - Midshipman B J Charlton. Killed when the aircraft crashed during a flight from Yeovilton 19/12/1943. Air crash report states that the cause of the crash was due to over stressing of the airframe during an uncontrolled high speed dive.

Thanks Vic.
The biggest challenge will be modding the cowl from the Wildcat to Martlet configuration I think.

Will give it my best shot anyway.

Thanks Woody.

Wojtec - be on standby for assistance with the cowl mods. Not looking forward to it now ive seen the kit.

Also I'm hoping to make the wings interchangeable so that i can alternate between folded and unfolded wings when finished.
So long as the Wolfpack kit attaches via the Tamiya wing mounts the it should be fine.

Thanks all, hopefully it will be ok.

Karl, thanks but no rush at all. Going to be atleast a couple of months before I need them.

Thanks Wildcat.

If anybody has any detailed pictures of the pivot/split in the wings can they post them in this thread please?

Cheers Chris

Thanks all. Looking forward to the challenge now.
The razor saw will be out tonight once I have ignited a small fortunes worth of fireworks.

Cheers Chris
