Working on the wings today. I want to replicate that 'almost transparent' look of clear doped linen. I'm experimenting with molding in clear PETG.

pic 1 shows what I'm going for
pic 2 rather than carving the wing shape, I am using strips from a 3" PVC pipe. It has just the right curve.

pic 6 A piece of clear PETG with the ribs marked with brown Sharpie pen
pic 7 the first coat of Future with food coloring added

I only have .020" material and will need a little thicker. Should have it Monday.
