‎25 years ago today On 4 July 1987, B-1B tail # 86-0098 took off from USAF plant 42 at Palmdale California for its initial acceptance flight. It set speed and payload records off the Pacific Coast by traveling 1,080 nautical miles with a 66,140-pound payload at 685 mph. Pilot: Robert Chamberlain.

3 years ago today, July 4, 2009 Bob was taken from us. A very special man who gave so much to so many. I miss you Bob - Blue skies and tail winds always!

These two days are always tough for me too, Joe. I remember Seamus McCaughley was killed in his C-180 on July 3 of last year, and Bob's death as well, which caused a with hunt that grounded Doug, who is also no longer with us. They are still in our hearts and memories.
