Hey, I tried. As I'm getting divorced, perhaps my advice is best left ignored.

Not sure if I say I'm sorry or something more to the happy side. Been there done that but I'm been married to the present Mrs Phillips for 37 years now, plan on going to the grave first, at the rate I'm going, she'll send me there fist and it will be justified! 😁😄😜😜

Must have a 13 in the numbers

Of course! 🤜🏻🤛🏻

IMHO this depends on the fuel brand, a making model guy can refuel. ;)

New from Squadron in 1/72. No doubt the resemblance between the two aircraft is a sheer coincidence, form following function and so forth.

The one I saw at Edwards had drip pans. Of course, it was in a hangar.

In the good old days if they needed to defuel an F-89 or something at a rural base in someplace like AK they just parked it off the hardtop and opened the tank drains.
Well to be honest the only time I was close up was preflight/launch at Det 1 Kadena and that as I say was ready to launch. A former chief I worked for invited me over for the launch. At that point no drip pans involved, jet taxied out and they used shop brooms and squiggles to flush it in the drain.
