will be curious your thoughts on that Arado book as it is on my list. the two authors many years ago did a thick book on Jet Planes of the Third Reich long out of print and had a wonderful section on the 234 and prototypes which am sure has been repeated in the new edition ~

I have a few of these series books, a well done listing of all production and pre production aircraft and history of the type. It's not a "detail and scale" but a full in-depth dig into the thought and history of the topic! I have Ju 88 vol 2, Fw 190 (3 volumes), Do 17, Do 217, and a couple others, lots of charts and photos. I would recommend to anyone who wants more than a coursery overview of the subject such as an "in action" or D&S type!

I never saw their book 'Jet Planes of the Third Reich', except for some preview pages on the internet, but that book is 40 years old and only a part of it is about the Ar 234. Moreover since then a lot of new info has surfaced.

Even their 30 year old 'Ar 234 Blitz' book (Monogram series, 264 pages), which I already had, is no match for the new book.

Their new book is 320 pages A4 size with a rather small text font resulting in a much higher text density than the old books.
See also the TOC that I posted here a month ago: A new book in my library.

The new book is no doubt the most comprehensive Ar 234 book available. Whether you really need much more info on the Ar 234 than you already have, and whether its price is within your budget, only you can decide.

I should have had it 2 weeks ago but couldn't collect it then, I'm lucky i have access to them very quickly, Avonmore is based here in Adelaide..!
Just delivered my copy.

As some very famous countrymen from down under say: Is a long way to the top... if you wanna read some books, in this case.

Since I got back into Spitfires a few months ago I've built up this small reference library. Most of these cost just a few quid secondhand from various sources. The lone Lanc book is for a specific future project.

I have always felt that you could never go wrong with a MMP book and this one doesn't change my mind. Found an interesting little bit on Soviet use that might go towards explaining the mystery test or strengthening items on the tail in those soviet photographs in the P-39 section proper. Will post them there. Check them out.

Check also for the front armour, the cockpit heater, the british anti 39 conspiracy and all the long range escort sorties.
