In Dordrecht, were I live, there is a very big and very old church. It's existence is first mentioned in the year 1122 and still exists today. While it cchanged from a catholic church to a protestant church, it remained in it's original form, unlike many other churches in the Netherlands. I had the opportunity to visit the attic of this fascinating building, which is a opportunity you don't get that often. I would like to share a few of my pictures.
I made many more pictures of course, so this is just an impression.
1. The church itself from the outside, you can see the gutter in which I was able to walk later on. The church is about 40 meters high.

4. Walking over the chuch ceiling, consisting of arches
5. The roof of the church, look at the the huge medieval oak.
6. Looking down through a hatch. Mind you, the floor is 35 meters down!
7. While walking through the gutter (also 35 meters high), I had a great view over the old city
8. You see, I was actually on the roof.
9. Looking over the length of the church at 25 meters. Unfortunately there were restoring the old organ.
