Well, Paul Allen has a P-47 with an operational turbo and I believe Bill Clairs of Westpac does, too, I believe.

Apparently one or maybe two of the P-38s out there has (have) had the turbos put back online, too.

So ... maybe we COULD get some actual high-altitude escorts flying if there were any reason to do so ...

So ... when are we gonna' get together and go to San Diego for a day of fun. Maybe a Sunday?

Let's try for July, OK? Talk to Brian ... and let's DO it ... or I'll overwater your houseplants ...

Where else on this planet can so many vintage aircraft be seen by the general public, flying no less.

Man I miss the airshows in the States. Tracy, Watsonville, Salinas, Chino, Modesto. I flew in to the Father's Day Fly In at Jamestown a couple of times. The first waas just after I got my license. I took part in the Spot Landing in a Cessner 150-D and added a swuirt of power at the last second and landed 3 feet beyound the stripe, lost by one foot........... arrrrrrrrgh.

I hope all you air show goers in the U.S. realize just how lucky you are.

Great shots guys.
