Lack of vertical separation, fighters crossing the bombers during the turns.
Airboss using non-standard phraseology, and doing things 'on the fly'. He'd get them set up, and then just move on to the next thing.
Also, there was a Stearman doing joy rides, and landing in the middle of it all.
Basically, a cluster-f**k

Essentially what the prelim suggested? Thanks, man.
Sounds worse than what I understood of the prelim.
I'm surprised none of the pilots suddenly "found defects" with their aircraft.

Nothing to forgive. We're all time-poor at one point or another.
No. ATC are the exact opposite of what you want from a Display Director. ATC try to keep aircraft as far apart as possible. Display Directors try to get them all to converge on one point at set times, without any conflict. More like a Forward Air Controller.
