Geo, well again I did not pursue the issue but their website indicates that is the case and Runefang Steel is the replacement. If you really like it start looking for more, you and Wayne could have the worlds supply

Cheers Hugh and Igor,

Well I finally managed some time to model! mixed my brew of Kawanishi Dark Green, broke out the Airbrush and spent a couple of hours in the shed....

here is the progress so far...outer wing and cowling.

Very nice work there Wayne.

For the Kawanishi green what paint mixes did you use? It looks like you have a light and dark colour where you started with the light colour then followed up with the darker colour? What A/B needle did you use .20mm? Looks very fine.

I'm with Totalize, very interested in understanding how did you painted that very nice mix of green colors, if isn't a secret ...
Alberto

Thanks George, David and Alberto!

David, Tamiya mix I used for this one is..

XF-70 Dark Green 4 Parts
XF-11 JN Green 4 parts
X-3 Royal Blue 4 parts
XF-3 Flat Yellow 2 Parts

Haven't used 2 greens Guys, just the one colour as mixed above, the pattern is applied over the Silver in light and heaver mottled applications to give differing densities of the green paint, it's all in the application that provides the different colouring over the silver background. I do one panel at a time carefully applying the pattern, the entire Overall green took me about 3 and a bit hours to do....including finishing the starboard side today.

and not sure if I used the 0.2 nozzle David, but might have been .35?
