Thanks Hugh and Jerry.

With the final wiring added on the right side of the cockpit, I was able to glue this area up:

A few finishing touches on the left half of the cockpit were added before closing it in. The hemispherical gizmo represents the indent for the foot step on the outside of the aircraft and this was made of a rounded section of sprue. Also, just below it, a small electrical box was added with the associated wiring to the rear.

...after which this side of the pit was secured in place. There's a small gap at the top which will need to be filled.

Getting dusty isn't it? Gotta need to remember to blow it out before taking pics next time!

That is one epic cockpit Andy. Though it's too late for you now, I'll go through my books to see if I can find a picture of the battery, for, you know, future references.

Thanks so much guys. I'm having fun with this one, though the glass dome on the front will be a bit of a challenge. Initial dry fits show that I'll need to spread the walls at the top and I'm still wondering how easily I'm going to get the instrument panel frame supports glued into the holes provided in the nose. The instructions had this done before gluing the dome to the rest of the pit but if I did that, I would not have been able to get the wiring done on the back of the panel.

Just found a couple of pictures of the battery box and you pretty well nailed it. However, the photos I have show the alarm attached to the battery. If you want, I can post them for you.

Geo

EDIT: That should have read "attached closer to the battery as well"

Cheers guys. Geo, yes, please post the pic or PM it to me.

After much manipulation, I managed to glue on the dome. The toothpick is providing a temporary but necessary spreading force and I;ll leave it place for a good day to make sure the glue has fully cured.
