Just found that ...I would say it could have been the one behind the UN-B standing a little bit forward of her... the caption says "Col. Zemkes 'Wolf Pack' Thunderbolts preparing to go out on a hunt! In immediate view is seria -l 42-26466 - P-47D 63rd FS, 4thFG - designation 'UN-B' flown by Capt. Russell B Westfall and called 'Anamosa III'. A brilliant picture of the Col. Tucked in behind and to the right is an earlier aircraft, in all metal finish serial 42-26057 - designation 'UN-F'. At this present time this pilot is not known. ** The 56th Fighter Group lines up for takeoff from Boxted. In the foreground Russell Westfall runs up his P-47D".

Neat stuff, but now you have to buy a P-47!

You mean another one, I have 4. Final decals are on and drying. Techmod for the large fuselage codes, Fantasy Printshop for the smaller "8", kit decals for the stars and fuel markings, home-made decals for the tail and the propeller warning stripes from the spares box. Hopefully have it all together and final photos tomorrow.

Thanks guys. The moment of truth, first time standing on her own...

...and exhale. A test fit of all the clear parts show a bit of a poor fit even after filing so I'll have to make do with the best fit. Just need to add the last of the fiddly bits and she's done.
