Good looking engines Vic cant wait to see some color on them.

Thanks for the kind words folks, always appreciated.

Well it's been a long wait but the engines are done and only need the exhausts fitting as and when. During the making I had noticed on the few pics that I have that there was what looks like a small air scoop in one place between the cylinder heads at the right side base of each engine. In the first blow-up pic you can see my initial crude attempts to duplicate this and the second shows a slightly better attempt which looks more like the real thing.

For those wanting to know how I got these new air scoops, I took the remains of a Meteor engine (No 1), cut out a segment (No 2) and set to working on it (No 3).

As for the finished trio of engines, this be them:

Glad these are done, now I can get on with the airframe nose section.

Thanks for looking in and your kind words guy. No pics I'm afraid, maybe tomorrow when I've finished assembling the nose section, I've spent most of the last two days on it and what a bast@rd to do, had to do and still have to do quite a bit of juggling and some scratch building.

At last the nose engine housing is finished, as with a lot of resin parts, it sometimes will not go according to plan and this was one of those cases. The rods provided for the frame structure were a little short so a bit of scratch building was in order. I also wanted to add a little extra piping/wiring not that much can be seen unless you get the magnifying glass and Big Ed out for a closer look. It still needs some bits of PE added but for now here are a few pics. The engine by the way is just a dry fit.
