Hey Andy, just catching up with your build. To be honest I kinda forgot about this unofficial GB hiding in the far corner of this forum. Your Spit is looking great. Nice job on the canopy cleaning.

Looks great Andy, and the canopy cleanup turned out great! My biggest issue is eyelash-like dog hair from this turd...

They stick like glue to the plastic, and just appear out of nowhere, and she doesn't even come into the model room hardly ever, or even the basement for that matter.

Thanks everyone. Well, she's all done and came together with no dramas except that this morning I masked one of the yellow recognition stripes on the leading edges to fix a wavy demarcation with the green and tore off one of the gun patches. I didn't have any decals of the same colour so I masked the patch and painted it with a mix of my own. I'll just throw out all the pics here with no further commentary, except to say thanks everyone who followed and commented on the build. I guess we're posting a finished thread for this GB so I'll do that next. Now back to the Mustangs!

That's a real beaut Andy, very nice indeed !
Just one tiny observation - the tube of the pitot head I believe was stainless steel, with a copper-coloured heating element at its tip, which darkened around the periphery.
