........Now I have a question : if you were going to do it all over, would you just put the old MPM kit aside and buy a Great Wall kit?

If I had it to do again, having the MPM kit waiting on the shelf I think I would build it again. From everything, I have heard about the Great Wall kit it is very nice, but it sounds like it has many features I would not use. I did not want to open anything up this one, instead concentrating on the winter camo. With a few wires added to the cockpit it had enough detail seen through the canopy, and with some work it went together OK and looked good when all together.

Hello.
One thing I love about modelling is that it helps provide a window into the past. Modelling can bring colour and definition to what have only been b&w photographs from a time long gone. I distinctly felt a sense of the past when viewing the final shots of this model.
The thread up until the final shots resembled a novella. When I saw the model draped in foil and read that Glenn had forgotten to prespray yellow, it was thrilling.

I learned a great deal reading this thread. I am grateful that an answer to a post of mine led me here. Stunning model. Great work. And a shout out to Crimea River's winter camo on the 110.
