Thanks chaps.
Started on the first of the decals, but not much to show yet. It's going to be a long job, as, including all the stencils etc, there are over 100 decals to apply !
Might have some pics some time tomorrow.

Looking good Terry glad to see that you're getting your "kit" back together. It's a total shame that the bastid will probably never get caught.
Those sharp-line cammos are a PIA

Thanks very much chaps, it's very much appreciated, as always.

Couldn't get Internet access yesterday - seems ice had frozen a local installation or something .
Still progressing with the decals, and got the national markings done, from the kit decals, and some of the code letters. The black letters are from a Microscale Bf110 sheet, and were a real pain in the jet pipe - one of the 'M's curled under at the top of one edge, and will need to be retouched, whilst another folded completely and was ruined. I managed to cut-down a slightly larger 'M' from another sheet, which went on without problems. However, I noticed that the style of both is wrong - the diagonal strokes should meet at the bottom, but do so part way down the center line, but I'm not going to try to change them at this stage.
The only white 'C's that I have are on a 'rub down' sheet, and I only have one, but I'm hoping I can cut a 'O' to suit, from the same sheet. Going to be tricky to align and apply, as I'll only have the one chance to get it right !
I should have some pics later today, and the good news is that most of the replacement DSLR camera gear should arrive today too, so I should be back in business.

Mixed results with the rub-down letters, probably due to the glossy surface and very slight curve, but overall it was successful, and the error can be corrected.

PIC 1. The first letter 'C' taped in place, ready to be rubbed down.
PIC 2. After peeling away the carrier film, part of the letter had not transferred. The film was replaced, and rubbed down again, but was slightly 'out'. This will be retouched once the decals have been sealed with a clear coat.
PIC 3. Cutting a letter 'O' to make a 'C'.
PICS 4 and 5. Taped in place, rubbed down successfully - phew !

Going to get the majority of the remaining decals on today, all being well, and it's been confirmed that all of the replacement camera gear ordered will be delivered today, so that's cheered me up.
More soon ..........

Good stuff Terry. I could offer you some masks from my new machine but it would take a while for me to find or make the correct styles.
