Work time. No wife no kids, well except for myself, and I have so quite time, well I did mention Def Leppard!

So I'm sanding down the Mr Surfacer to try and get the smooth finish for the NMF. I'm only using it in the heavy work areas.
God I do love wet sanding.

great don,

your work of sanding is at least a great job of sheet metal, sheet metal and paint, I have never used the alcladII, here in Spain (as in many other places) we have paintings like the extreme metal of ak that do not need black base to give the metallic tone, although in paintings it is to taste of the one who paints ...
great job

OWWW, Shiny! I was having some issue with the Alclad system, not real sure what I was doing wrong but I tried the Testors Model Mater Metalizer Aluminum Non Buff and am pleased so far with the results. I have to work with shading now. Not really done this before but you gotta start somewhere Ah! (my best Canadian ;) , learned it from "Strange Brew"). I do beleive the black undercoating does help though.

The instructions called for Insignia blue for the tail but from all I could see it was just too dark. I felt True Blue was correct. So here is my start on that. I also shot some steel to the engine exhaust cowl. Hard to tell in the pictures but it's there.
