Nice job Andy. I goofed up years ago trying to remove CA glue that had pooled on the outside of a fuselage I was working on at the time. I thought it would only soften the CA and I didn't realize it had softened the plastic too and completely marred the outside the fuselage when I tried to wipe it away. That was the only kit I ever threw away.
 
Just a little bit to report. I've been attending to cleaning up seams before getting the fuselage and wings welded together. Though the fit is great, I did neverthelss get some very minor misalignment of parts. I don't like using putty if I can avoid it and generally favour use of thick primer for stuff like this. The upper nose cowls had a small step as well as two sink marks, The wing gun inserts did't quite match the curvature of the rest of the wing so some fill was added here as well.



I continue with primer application/sanding/smoothing until I feel that no visible issues remain and then spritz on some primer to make sure. Rinse and repeat as necessary.

The rudder actuator will get some attention. The solid chunk will be carved away and will be replaced with a piece of stretched sprue once the major parts are together.

Though I'm still participating in the forum, I've had to fly to Ontario on Monday on a family matter and I may be away from my workbench for a few weeks. As much as I'd like to, I will not be updating this build until I'm back home and able to resume this project.
 
I had not stopped to watching your thread, Andy.
It is very interesting to know that Hurricanes were also built in Canada. Very good progress and very enriching information.

That on your trip everything goes well and we are attentive to your return mi amigo.

Being away from home for over a month has resulted in a pile of jobs to be done around the house and a resulting reduction of interest in getting back to this project. Since the end of March, when I returned, I maybe sat down twice for no more than 15 minutes to get the juices flowing again but it's a hard slog. A can report that the wings have been attached and the bottom of the engine cowl glued in place and both have some minor fit issues that require filling. The starboard wing root got some gaps filled with plastic card and other areas are being built up with Tamiya primer to be smoothed down at my next session. Hasegawa's positioning of the rear wing to fuselage seam on the underside could have been better selected in that it's right in the middle of the corrugations that represent the fabric stretched over the longerons at this location which makes it a major pain in the butt to fill and smooth. A little planning could have resulted in the seam being further forward to coincide with the flaps.
