Thank you all for your inputs. Update, I've been working as can, it was too hot last week to work up here with temps at 103F ambient and feels like at 115F so I didn't get much done. but I've been working the paint and getting the landing gear positioned.

Well now here's the update. Welcome me to the wonderful world os line accenting!

Navy birds can really be, err, well let's just say look like they may need some upkeep versus their USAF opposites. That's not saying I haven't seen an Air Force jet that didn't look like it could use a bath, just no that many. Any way I stated experimenting with the Tamiya panel line accent paints. I stated with "Gray" and decided it was not dark enough, I went to "Dark Gray" and found my mate. I've also used black, let's see what you guys think.

I thought the way Kinetic did the main wheels was kinda cook. the hub is keyed to the inside of the tire.

The nose wheels

Temporary install of the props

First try with Gray

Now working with dark gray

Landing gear done up with the Tamiya Black

Shame I got ahead of myself and did not install the decals yet, I like where this is going

Wing fold panels done in black as well

Temp install of the wings.

Figured I'd use maybe three or four strands of lead wire and twist them together at the top and break it out at the scissor switch. I don't figure to do a full recreation as I can't figure it out, just for looks

Yeah I'd of deleted that picture and pretended i never saw it !

Looks great what youve done with the panel wash
I like the way you think!

So I was having way too much fun with the panel line thing to pay attention to the fact that I needed to put some or like all the decals down before I got to it. So here we goooooooo!

While that's not all. Some of those were fairly large. I'm still working the sun flashes on the tail. The set of decals I bought had a thinner set but it cracked when it hit the water. Good news, the kit decals are a bit thick but easier to work with. I did find that I could take the new decals and soak them with Micro Set just brushing it on them and they would come right up. So I getting it done.
