On its legs, flat coat next. Adding the antenna is a bit of a keester pain. Its from the other kit and its a trying to fit in a smaller hole so I've be filing and reaming

Just noticed - it might be the camera angle, but are the gear legs at the right angle ?
They look a tad "vertical" in the pics, rather than the slight forward rake.

There is a slight forward rake but not as much as the Tamiya on the right

Ah, that's better, looks fine. The pic also shows to advantage the difference in shape of the "Rotol" prop spinner, fitted to late Mk.1's and Mk.II's.

I looked at it earlier as well and my first thought was that the gear reminded me of a spatless Stuka
