Thanks Guys, missed getting on yesterday, so here is the progress to date, mostly glossed and Primary decals on both Aircraft. I have decided the second aircraft will be the Lead aircraft of the Torpedo attack flown by Lieutenant Comander Shigeharu Murata from the AKAGI, who's torpedo strikes the USS West Virginia.
The Shokaku Kate still has to have its mottled/ squiggle pattern of Dark green Paint applied to the Wings and rear fuselage around the markings but I will add an extra gloss coat over the decals to help protect them in case of a little overspray....
Thanks Guys, haven't been able to run the extra gloss coat yet, couple of interruptions occurred in the windows of opportunity... but I did get to do the pastel 'wash n wipe' on the lower surfaces, but it is a tad hard to see....
Thanks Guys, i got the Gloss coats on both aircraft yesterday and today got stuck into the Green mottled pattern unique to the Shokaku Kates...
plus added the few sighting lines decals to the upper cowling, and aircraft numbers to the lower chin...
Liking that a lot. So what's the theory behind mottling green over what is effectively yellow? The aircraft must still quite visible unless flying over fields of canola.
