Thank you , Paul! :thumbright:
I do not use the Book of Faces, but my wife does, so I will kindly ask her for help.
I hope Don is not too angry with our small chats in this thread, but I hope they bring some valuable information for his build.
Cheers!

And well were off and running, well walking would you believe? A little cockpit work. The previous owner shot most of the interior green and I started white knobs and black electronics and IP etc... Seat belts on I used belts from Kits World 3d B-17 set. I also stated (no pics yet) putting airscale decals on the IP.

I'll have to get you some more snacks Geo as this is taking a bit of time. The process is one to three at a time.

I cut the decal I want and soak it in micro set for maybe 30 seconds, water doesn't seem to work as well.

I set the decal in place.

I soak the IP in Micro Sol and let dry.

Go watch more football!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All looking good. Have found decals easy. 30 seconds in water, remove from backing. Sit on drtpaper towel for few seco to remove moister. Apply PVA where being placed and apply decal. Let set. :D

Hey all thanks for the comments! Vic while this is the norm, not sure you've used this before. The Airscale decals are induvial interments to go in the face bezels on the IP. That for me is tedious slow work. I have found that the best way is using the Microscale set Micro set and micro sol. I use the set, just a drop or two on the decal to loosen it from it's film and a drop on the IP where it is to go. slide and position and micro sol to finalize. I can but do a couple maybe up to four before I have to Sol them and walk away to dry.

Think I'll call it patches. Over all not a bad kit, it is ESCI originally so there is a certain amount of pre build trepidation preconceived. The fit of the main fuselage is pretty good but I ran into issues with the nose. It was too wide and was not a good fit top and bottom. I ran thin plastic bands where the fit was the worst and filed it down with a medium glass file (good god I love this thing). I had a mismatch down the bottom seam aft of the weapons bay as well, I know the strip looks long but it's not even close to that much of an issue. I just ran it longer then nessary for a good blend. I like doing this better than putty, it's cleaner and there is less of a mess.
