What a weekend it was this past weekend. We had two weddings to attend and in between that, "Spike", the bearded dragon, prolapsed his rectum. I woke up Sunday morning to find it hanging outside of him. Not good. Off to the vet again and they unfortunately had to euthanize him. My son was devastated, but we will be going this weekend to pick up another one that is a little older this time.

Thankfully, we had some weddings to go to for some happy occasions. I have no intention of becoming a wedding photographer, so you guys know. I was there as a spectator for these and brought along the camera. The shot of the girl with the camera was a Kamikaze camera shot. She was lining up the shot behind me and I put the camera on my shoulder facing behind me and fired. I love shooting the shooters.

I've shot a few weddings recently, only because I was a guest with a camera!

There's no way I could do that for a living, I hate people looking at me!

At the last wedding I attended, the photographer and her posse were actually moving to block my shots...I thought it was funny that they were that paranoid. I did land some great shots and captured some elements they missed. I just looked at it as practice and wasn't "stealing the bread off her table"...

Anyway, nice job with the Bearded Dragon, those things are cool!
 
Been a whirlwind couple of weeks. Between Wednesday and Saturday, I drove 1600+ miles. I went to Snowflake Arizona to spend some time with my family and prepare for Dad's final resting spot. We scattered his ashes and said our goodbyes. I took some photos at the Grand Canyon I will post now. I have other stuff I am still going through.

My father also collected old cameras. I brought home a full box of them. I set up the studio lights yesterday to get some photos. The second camera down, the black Argus is a C3, which is what Tony Vaccaro used throughout Europe. He was in Europe in the Army 1944-1949. He not only covered the war, but the reconstruction and was an influence in my photography. So it's a real special camera for me to have a C3.
