Entry: Blenheim Mk. IV
Kit: 1/72 Airfix

Accessories; Not many available for this little bugger, just a donated canopy. Did a sh!t load of mods, to make it more accurate! A lot of scratching on this one, mainly interior, and the bomb bay. Nothing was easy on this one and am surprised I am able to finish on time with just 3 days to spare. Ohhhhh them early Airfix kits. Should have a discount coupon for a local liquor store!

This is another Davidson build. Barry had fewer than fifty hours in his pilot's logbook when he took off in a Blenheim IV (R8662) on a daylight raid with #18 Squadron. It was July 6, 1940 and he was ordered to bomb an enemy aerodrome in France. It was to be his first and only combat operation and the first day of almost five years as a POW.

Another Davidson complete, another under way in GB19.

Thanks for all that......... and thanks to the correction sheets supplied to me by Terry? So many things to correct, but not impossible. But then I don't think I have ever built OoB!

Evan, I've got tons of stuff onner, and I will make a CD of it all and get it off to you one day.

And in the case of the thin fin flash, I took the scale off a German photo of the plane sitting on the sand of the beach when Barry was captured, code, serial and flash are all visible.

BTW, I had to make the "V" from two chopped up W's! I had used the V from the sheet on another plane!!

Great work Bill your efforts paid off.
