FOREST FIRES

My heart goes out to you guys with my fingers crossed as our fire season, luckily is delayed due to heavy rains over the last few months, but that also means lots of growth.

Ours is just getting under way here. We had one go through a vineyard yesterday. Luckily we don't tend to get them as big as you guys do.
 
Middle of May and it's already happening up here. A northern B C town eveacuated already with the fire right on the edge of town. Fort McMurray in trouble again. There are a lot of places up here with only one road out of town. Things are still quiet and clear down here in Southeast B C, but it is already REALLY dry out there and we're awful nervous.
 
We have quite a few fires in California, now, as a result of Thunderstorms.

None in my direct vicinity (for a change, thankfully) but we're getting heavy drift smoke from them.

Also something that's been happening lately: Facebook has been deleting posts or entire groups that are dedicated to fire information (such as new fire alerts, updates and even evacuation notices) without explanation - not sure why, but it's a little disturbing.
