Thanks everybody. The info is appreciated and I have decided to go with a natural metal colour as the wartime pics provided by Master Fubar 57 would indicate that is appropriate.

Cheers,

So I was helping Mother Superior out in the kitchen last night and I managed to slice a good sized chunk of the tip of my left thumb off. No real big deal, not the first time but hopefully the last. First thing I said was "shit" followed closely by " well this will slow down the progress of the Hurricane". The thumb is pretty heavily bandaged and is still bleeding this morning although at a very slow flow. Wont be able to deal with fiddly bits for a bit so I can at least deal with the bigger pieces.

I was not planning on building the engine nor the wing boxes and guns so I should be able to move forward on a couple of fronts but the assembly of the cockpit may have to wait till I can unwrap what separates me from most of the other species of mammals.

Cheers,

Jeff

Got a bit done yesterday, larger pieces where hanging on to them wasn't to tough a task.

The thumb has healed quite nicely so I am able to hold onto smaller bits so I went to the workbench this morning and was able to assemble the cockpit. I also glued one end of the spacer/re-enforcer bar into the bottom of the fuselage and then taped the unit together to ensure it would line up properly when the time comes. The cockpit assembly is taped down to help it stay square while the glue sets properly
