A lot more work done this last weekend.
The main landing gear built and attached.
The props and spinners assembled and attached. Also, the exhausts.
The tail wheel, doors and elevator control horns attached
Top turret gun and antenna mast installed.
The guns and radar antenna.
The antenna were a major pain, and I spent more than a few hours struggling with them. Still not 100% happy with them but I think any more messing around with them could have led to total disaster, so I left well enough alone.
The trouble with the guns was my own fault. I installed them backwards with the thickened end toward the nose on Saturday. Sunday morning I realized that they were flash suppressors and pulled them off for re-attachment. It worked out better as I then drilled them out and they look much better.
A bit of exhaust staining and very restrained paint chipping with a silver pencil and I am calling this one done.
I should have the finished thread with better pictures up in the next few days.
