If you look over period photographs, you'll notice that rarely are the photos sharp. There's also a high degreee of over-contrast.Last one a bit blurred but the best I had of this one. Thanks though!

That's what I did to the P-40 (posted above): desaturated, contrast adjusted and applied slight Gaussian Blur.
