If you look over period photographs, you'll notice that rarely are the photos sharp. There's also a high degreee of over-contrast.

That's what I did to the P-40 (posted above): desaturated, contrast adjusted and applied slight Gaussian Blur.

Well, I don't need to artificially blur my pictures as most of my flying shots turn out that way on their own due to the idiot on the other end of the lens.
