Next we move back towards Auckland, stopping first in Hamilton and also at one of the old Maori forts from the Colonial / intra-Maori wars.

No, there are no interiors. There are also doors of different sizes depending if they were filming the hobbit characters or the human ones...

Next we move onto Auckland, a city built among 48 volcanoes, the field is still active but many haven't erupted for a while. First set from Cornwall Park, with one of the volcanoes, called One Tree Hill in the background (with the monument on it)...

All great shots Hugh, I would love to go there some day, so beautiful. The forest is fascinating. I wonder why they won't let you take pictures if you don't use a flash, tripod or monopod. There is a place in Julian that would not let me take my camera in, they said I would have to leave it in my car, I told them that's OK I'll just go somewhere else.

Moving on from one volcano to the next, Mount Eden, which gives the name for the famous rugby stadium in Auckland, Eden Park which can be seen in the last shot.

First shot you can see One Tree Hill in the background.
