'on the dog' = dog and bone slang for phone.
'on the toot' = out drinking and enjoying.
'royal saucepan' = saucepan lid slang for kid. royal saucepan is slang for the heir to the throne.

Our slang is not as confusing as Aussie slang ( I think)... or is it?
The bewildered American tourist in Camden market is enough to make your eyes water.
