Hi all,
I have already started an ambitious project in 1/48 scale on four propeller airplanes which are situated in the Hellenic Air Force museum just three kms away from my house in Tatoi, Northern Athens. In the museum there are a lot of planes, both propeller and jet ones as well as many other exhibits. To my interest is a DH-82 Tiger Moth, an SB2C-5 Helldiver, a Harvard and a wrecked Bristol Mk IV Blenheim. The first three kits of those planes have already been bought while I'm still considering of taking the risk to build the wrecked Mk-4 Blenheim. The diorama will also include a part of the internal and external structure of the hangar. The name of the place where these planes are exhibited is called "Leros hangar" for reasons that may be not so interesting for the forum.
I have started the Italeri kit for the Harvard and I have finished building the cockpit in which I have added the Eduard p.e. parts as well as some personal details. I have tried to depict the look of it as it is at the moment so you should not be alarmed if you see some strange things there! LOL!
Here are photos of the w.i.p. as well as the hangar itself. I will be back with more, hopefully...
Cheers,
Panagiotis.

Thanks guys! I'm waiting for a fax of approval from the Hellenic Air Force headquarters to get photos from the cockpits of these planes since they are kept closed for the public.

Hi fellas and thank you for your comments! Yes, the Museum is a must to visit!
I've been looking for a good shot of the SB2C-5 bomb bay especially in the part that joins this area with the wheel bay.I'd be grateful if someone in the forum could provide me with one!
As for updates I'll be posting soon. The Harvard is ready to be painted but that can wait as I've already started with the second part of the project which is the building of the SB2C-5 in the very condition it is exhibited in the Museum. Stay tuned as I will too, with the photo!
Cheers,
Panagiotis .

I'm not sure if these pics will help, but they are taken of the Commemorative Air Force's SB2C-5 bomb bay. They are taken from the front of the plane looking back. The aluminum metal frame is not original. Hope these help. I've got more of the landing gear bays and of the outside of the plane if you need anything else.

Hi fellas!
It's been a while since I posted my work in the forum. I've missed your company, I truly have. My project of the HAF Museum is still going on and soon I'll keep you updated. Unfortunately, most of my photos are gone and this is sad. On the other hand, I find the new layout very attractive, you've done a really good work!:)
Cheers for now,
Panagiotis.:salute:

It's good to see you back, Panagiotis, really missed you and your hangar too. Your project is great, so it will be very interesting to follow it.
It's a shame about the lost photos, but even so what you have will be interesting.

Saludos compadre
