Our prayers to those who died in the buildings and those who died trying to save them. You shall never be forgotten.

To those responsible we will never tire, we will never give up...

:salute:

May we never forget those who gave their lives trying to save others, Alder.

By the way, I'm watching a documentary called "The Firefighters' Story" about
the FDNY's involvement and reaction to 9/11 tonight.

This is just one image that reduced me to tears. From TIME magazine with a caption that points out that the man and woman at the top of the photo "held hands on the way down".

God knows there are many things to live for......but I hope that I'm around to see the pieces of garbage responsible for September 11th swinging from ropes.

no kidding guys, I remember getting up after a breif radio clip, rushed to the tV and watched in slo mo the second jet hit the second tower. I was on the phone within minutes to friend in NY watching the whole thing run it's terrible course from his second story apt window. he was literally crying and his wife and her friends were screaming, with much verbal noise around them, they had just seen the first jet smack into the first tower and soon lost some friends within. EVen with all the knowledge of how to consol others there is just NO words at a time like this except to listen.

gusy I would appreciate your prayers today as I dropped off my bride of 33 years with a friend on a long hall east-ward by plane to Tennessee. though this might be the safest day on the planet to fly.......still........... I have never seen the small airport she flew out of so busy in my life, security units were going absolutely nutz and it seemed to rushed in my opinion which creeped me out. So during the day if you would send a few prayers up to the Father on her behalf and her friend traveling with her it would be most appreciated.

we remember - thanks Chris, and thanks for serving

I remember being in the hanger working on an aircraft and the commander came and put us all in formation and told us what happened. We were then put on lockdown and not allowed to leave the hanger except to go in groups to the chow hall. In the chow hall I saw the towers collapse. I dont think there was a soldier in the chow hall with dry eyes.

Later that night we were told to report to the barracks and start packing our bags. We ended up not going anywhere for awhile though.

Wilco, Erich.

As I drove by a local fire station on my way to work, I saw the fire trucks pulled out of the station and the on-duty firefighters all observing a moment of silence by the flag at half staff. It was a poignant moment.

I have her tracked believe it or not and they are over Kansas City right now.........looking good guys and thanks.... so far ;)

Chris when they sent you into lock-down did you have any idea where your next stop was going to be ? .......... I wonder if you had a 6th sense as did I momentarily

something very cool this morn at 5am at the airport the chap in charge of security got everyones attention and we too had a minute of silence in memory, and I mean you could of dropped a pin and it could of been heard.......
