Not for Luftwaffe aircraft...there were a number of variations depending on aircraft type and Geschwader.

Quite amazing, I know this wouldn't be the case, but it looks like a form of wax wash was used to get this effect.

It's not a pretty scheme in my opinion but extremely well done for sure.

Agree with Andy. Whether painted or a home-made Photoshopped decal, it's excellent. Can't work out if the fuselage cross is supposed to be like that, or whether it's silvering, but it's still bl**dy good !
