Thank you Dave, Shinpachi and Vic your comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks Dave for telling me that the truck was a Dodge, I wasn't' sure what make it was, there was barbed wire around it so I could not see the front. Shinpachi the Dodge truck may be operational the tires looked pretty good.

I am pretty sure that's an old Power Wagon and those are military "lug" tires.

I have noticed that the old rubber tires from those years (through the 60's) resisted deterioration much better than tires of later years.
 
The first photo is a Dodge Power Wagon. Had a flat six and four speed. TUFF as nails. Some were built for the military during and after WWII.

Thanks Terry, Wayne, Shinpachi, David, Aaron and Hugh greatly appreciated. I wish I could be at Travis AFB Saturday and get some shots of that Russian Tupolev Tu-154M-LK-1 that is doing a surveillance check on our armed forces

Well anyway, Saturday the Planes of Fame flew the Aichi "Tora, Tora" Val and I grabbed some shots of her.

Thanks Eric, the weather turned out really nice I wish there were a few clouds for a back drop. Thanks Shinpachi, I think I posted the wrong one I had a better shot of the third one but clicked the wrong one :oops:
