WOW !!! Incredible models !! You offer up tours of your place during the summer months ?? It would be something to see I'm sure !

Really, really nice collection, Boats. However, I believe your model of the Titanic is incorrect, or I can't see her stern too well. Didn't the Titanic have three screws ???

BTW, here a pic of the framed New York Times proclaiming her loss, which hangs in my den.

thanks sir for your reply and the original Titanic footage I always enjoy reading old clippings from a bygone age, There are three screws on my model you look closely at the stern you will see the starboard wing screw and the center prop, I guess the way I shot the picture gave the elusion of a single screw, My model is 10 feet long in the scale of 1/92 or 1/8th scale built from plans provided by Abe Taubman plan service, edward wesswesser plans. thanks sir for your always wondefull replies.

Thank you so kindly for your warm replies that mean a lot to me from you and everyone here, As to the Question who makes the Titanic there are a few out there i can give you the straight dope on who makes them, in 1974 A company called Entex produced the worlds first ejectionj molded plastic kit of the Titanic in the scale of 1/350 it stunned the world of modlers Entex is out of buisness and it is now Academy Mini Craft, They are one scource where you can obtain the kit , They also make the 1/400 scale version the one you are inquiring about, A good kit as well although their 1/350 scale kit is miles better by far. In 1976 Revell made their first Titanic in box scale of 1/597. small but pretty close in the scale of their Queen Mary 1 . Revell still produces the same titanic and the last 9 years ago they re produced a 1/400 scale Alot better the Mini craft kit, they also are another scource. Amati and Mantua Sergal make a 1/200 scale wooden Titanic. Gomix flymodel makes a 1/200 scale Titanic I have one of those I might get started on by this fall and winter. the choice is up to you. My model is scratch built to the scale of 1/8th 10 feet long, thanks sir charles for your reply.

Ten feet long!!! Heck, you could sail in that! Great stuff, and thanks for the pics of the U-Boat. If I can find the kit, I might start off with the Airfix 1/72nd scale RAF Rescue launch - rapidly running out of space in my small hovel!

Mighty fine pics of some MIGHTY fine, very beautiful models Boats!
Got to love them ships, for some odd reason, I've always had a bit of obsession with the USS Yorktown CV-5 (and CV-10) and USS Coral Sea CV(A)-43, go figure! My dad says he had a relative that was on her, the Ageless Warrior, don't know if it's the same relative that served in the USN during the Korean War, who served on a carrier, we're still looking for a name....even though a cousin of him, has worked our family as far back to the 1650's......it's some work and strings to follow!
Would love to do the USS Yorktown CV-10 from Trumpeter in 1/350, I'm still hoping that they'll do a kit of CV-5 in the same scale! Same goes for the USS West Virginia BB-48, USS Mississippi BB-41, USS Nevada BB-36, USS Pennsylvania BB-38...but only seen them in resin for 1/350, which cost a leg and an arm! :(
As for the old liners, doesn't matter to me how fast, big or luxurious them new ones are, they're a far cry from those old lasses, they had more style, class.....grace than anything on the oceans today!
Looking forward, very much so, to more pics of your aircraft AND ships, new and old...

Very well done indeed Sir! :salute:

Thanks for that Boats! And with Terry... at 10 feet long, your titanic is almost as long as our bedroom! :)

Interesting your comments re the Titanic models - had read till now that the Academy 1/400 'Premium' and 'Centennary' versions were the best of all kits produced so far. They are the basic Academy injected kit with new full PE sheets (including deckchairs!), wire rigging and full wooden decks. The premium edition was limited to 1500 worldwide, the centennary to 5000. Thinking, thinking...

Ahoy Evan
Thank you sir for always wonderfull replies on my builds. i would concider buying the Academy 1/400 Premium kit with all those features that been upgraded will make this kt a must. also it is better before the price goes sky high along with the cost of gas, which seems to be the culprit of everything. I will enclose my 1/350 Entex Titanic and my Revell 1/400 Titanic as she hits the iceberg.
