hi..here is a model that i have under construction..i need to get more trees in ( also a broken one that the Bf 110 crashed into with its left wing ) and do a background..will enlarge a picture taken at the actuall crashsite that this model is decipting. its a model of the first german plane that was shoot down during the invasion of Norway in 1940..i have used aluminumtape on this kit to get the damage and to make the torn parts..I think that kind of tape is perfect for this kind of modelling. above is the Gloster Gladiator that was flown by Lt. Tradin during 9th of april 1940 and was credited with the first aerial kill in norvegian history !
thanks..still a lot more to do..more trees and stuff.. but i will get there one day.. and when i get the background in place it will go on display at the museum next to some of the artefacts from the Bf 110
will post pics of it when its done..here is three closeups from the airfield i posted pictures of arlier..
the emblem on the watchtower is from a JG that was based in Norway
we have a original Me 109 cowling in our storage and i took a picture of the emblem painted on the cowling and just scaled it down..cut it out and used it on the watctower.
thanks
yes its 1:48. the figures are from different kits..the paratroppers from a 1:48 junkers 52.. others from several kits..also some from a kit i bought in the us with just plain luftwaffe crew.. i will see if i still have the box so i can find the name of the manufacturer
the motorcyle and kubelwagen are from tamyia..the kubelwagen had four wermachfigures included so i decided the luftwaffebase had a filmcrew from wermacht visiting.. if you look at the other pictures you wills ee a guy with a camera standing on the first groundfloor of the watchtower filming the pilot getting ready for action.
Thanks G. I'm always on the lookout for useble 1/48th figures. Just got the Tamiya tank servicing crew, to convert to USAAF and Luftwaffe.
Funny, I'm going to include a photographer in my B26 diorama!
well..somebody made all the movies we see so from WW2 i think that is a gerat idea please post pics of your diorama when completed or during construction would love to see
