For a first attempt, that's extremely good. And you've learned something - patience!
Now, get your a** into one of the Group Builds, no excuses!
Oh, and welcome to the family!

Thanks for the words of encouragement!

Something else I learned - quite apart from invading Europe and all that, the Germans came up with some hellish tricky paint jobs. I did my best with a few bits of sponge and a bit of paint mixing to get the gradations, this means on some parts of the fuselage there are about 6 layers of paint and a couple of layers of varnish, hence the slightly rough and ready look.

As airframes said, it's all about patience, which I'm not big on. However seeing these things take shape over a matter of weeks is very involving and curiously satisfying.

WWII is my "theme" I guess, I don't like jet planes and went all teary eyed the first time I saw a Spitfire in flight.

A shiny P-51D doing a 300mph low pass at an airshow a few years ago had the same effect on me

Nice job on that 109, no way i'd attempt that camo scheme with a brush :thumbleft:

Nice job.Camo looks great. I also do my camo by hand. Here are a couple of mine.

Clean them up and they'l look great! Some very interesting models you've got there:D

What's the ski plane?(top left in last photo)

I think for 1/72 its mostly easier to just use a brush

Here's one that's not to bad.The bottom isn't dusty ! I only had the camera for a day so there was no time to dust everything. One of the forum members provided me with the instructions for this kit. If I didn't thank him at the time,I do so now.Another old Airfix 1/72 kit.
