I can relate to this

If we buy a box of 24 from Amazon, which means they are shipped 1400km to Sydney then back to less than 100km from the factory it costs us just 16.00 delivered to our door. Bought locally the same costs 24.00

My latest SSD cost less in Sydney than from Amazon in the US but the freight from Sydney was 22.00 and from Seattle was 9.00. I saved 10 by buying Amazon.

A friend bought a 600USD tool from Amazon and when it failed to arrive ten days after the due date he contacted Amazon and they sent a replacement DHL same day and he had in three days.

If an Australian tracked parcel goes astray you have a long fight with the shipping company and MAY get your parcel. Living in a remote area Amazon is a lifeline to sane prices.

I now live almost 100km inland from Bundaberg Qld and 20km the nearest "town"

The only excitement is the odd kangaroo mating fight. Perfect except when you have to drive to bundy for medical and/or shopping
