The bravest I saw was on a narrow two lane highway with no places for the law to hide. The car approaching me flashed his lights several times, and although knowing the road well, I still slowed. The car right behind the one flashing was the State Trooper.

It was quite a few years ago that a policeman gave a ticket to a motorist flashing his lights to warn of a speed trap on the basis that only official emergency vehicles can have flashing lights. The judge said that was absurd and threw the case out. The next time the cop tried that, that same judge told him that he was the one that was going to do some time in jail if he did not cut that out.
