My wife was just down in Sydney where 700 gm eggs are $9-20/doz in supermarkets and they are in what is almost certainly an engineered shortage.
We get ours from a neighbour for $4.50/doz. Size is a bit variable but the hens are free to wander all over her 2ha property so are genuine free range instead of what the egg farmers call free range where the law only requires each hen to have a area equivalent to an A4 sheet of paper.

You are very lucky to get free range so cheap. I pay $9.00 for a dozen 700g real free range eggs. Aldi down here sell so called free range (possibly shed enclosed and on a couple thousand sheets of A4 paper
) at $5.99 and cages bird eggs at $4.99. So like I say me old MiTosol, you and your family is very luck guys.
