I am going to start a thread for all my recent builds that are not promoted in a build log.I find build logs kinda time consuming at times and I really like many on here just like to build then post(I think Ed would be one).I have way to many kits and really alot of these end up being just OOB for the most part. Thanks for the interest and let's say we get started.
First up is Eduards Avia B-534 from August 1937 of the 4th regiment in Czech markings.

Last one for today. This a build I did mainly for my son which the kit was given as Christmas present by Mother back in the 80's(only mothers are so kind :) ).The plane was as close as I could get to my fathers old SQ.He went over with the first successful batch of 17's flying out of Tampa (?) to Newfoundland then to England. His flight was actually the second while the first lost so many it was thought to be sabotage.Upon landing the SQ was split and his group went OTU I use to have a picture of him holding the plaque showing this but somehow it with all his papers have gone missing.

I'm not a fan of bombers. But B-17 is still making me impressed. No matter if it is of 1/72 scale or others. Always it is a big kite. It's the next well done, fine job. :thumbright:

I like the balance between main painting and the weathering you have applied ,the most. It is not overdone and in scale. The "borderline" between a "dirty" looking model and the replic , is there it should be. If I were a judge during a competition you would take part in , I would give you maximum of points for that.

Thks Wojtek I appreciate that ;) I am not so much either but they are essential to the War effort regardless of country.I am slowly working on a Betty right now in 1/48 I have it weathered some inside and the pit just started going together last night some it will be a slow one.Cheers

Thks Terry and Igor :thumbleft: I am surprised no one has commented on a big flaw in in the Avia?? :)

Seems to me you have should have had the Czech insignias mirror imaged on the top and bottom wings rather than identical on each wing? Nevertheless, it's a nice looking build with the riggin and all. I've always liked the Avia - nice lines, kinda like a Pitts Special.

Great work you're showing there Kevin. An admirable collection for sure!

Haven't noticed until you mentioned it Kevin... Wing roundels are just fine I believe, mistake is on the tail ones - they are upside down! Red field should be facing down and white field facing up same as on the Czech flag.

Have a Cigar :)
